The Story Behind Paw Adventures by Patty

 

Hi, I’m Patty — founder of Paw Adventures by Patty — and I’m so happy you’re here!

 

My journey with animals started back in Peru, where I was raised in a home filled with love, nature, and furry companions. My grandmother and mother were true animal lovers. At one point, we cared for 13 Irish Setters — yes, thirteen! — along with cats, hens, and even a few wild visitors. They taught me that animals are not just pets — they’re family.

 

After moving to the United States nearly 15 years ago, I continued to live by that same philosophy. But everything changed a few years ago when I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. At my lowest point, I lost the ability to walk. My recovery started slowly… and surprisingly, it began with walking small dogs. Step by step, their calm energy and loving companionship helped me heal both physically and emotionally.

 

That experience inspired me to create Paw Adventures by Patty — a business built on deep care, empathy, structure, and a whole lot of tail wags. I specialize in working with Velcro dogs who are deeply attached to their humans and thrive on closeness, routine and gentle care. I love creating a calm, safe, and joyful space for them — whether it’s during a walk, a boarding stay, or a car ride in my pet taxi.

 

I also offer:

• Structured daycare & sleepovers with one family at a time

• Pet taxi for vet visits, grooming appointments, and airport transfers

• Homemade doggy poké bowls (yes, rice & chicken love!)

• Custom dog portraits, because every pup deserves to be celebrated in art

 

Each dog that joins our adventure becomes part of the family. Whether they’re shy, energetic, or just need a little extra TLC, they’re safe here — and they’ll go home a little happier than when they arrived.
